I have been really trying to up my fitness game this summer. So, I bought a Fitbit Flex and am officially obsessed. During the day it tracks steps, distance, and calories burned. At night, it tracks your sleep quality and silently "buzzes" to wake you in the morning. By double tapping the band, a series of lights appear indicating how close you are to reaching your personal goals for that day. You can also track your progress via a mobile app and online portal that the band wirelessly syncs too. Oh, and did I mention the band is waterproof and only requires charging every five days? Pretty cool! I bought my Fitbit Flex at Costco for $99 because it included four interchangeable wristband colors. I definitely recommend checking Fitbit out!

I love this quote as a reminder to always go the extra mile. One of the most important things we can do in our families, friendships, relationships, and work lives is to not only show our appreciation but to go the extra mile in expressing it. For example, it's one thing to verbalize a quick "thank you," and another thing entirely to compose a handwritten "thank you" card. People notice when you go the extra mile and appreciate it tenfold.

My new Saturday morning routine is grabbing a cup of coffee and watching a webisode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. The series is hosted by Jerry Seinfeld as he treats a comedian to coffee in a cool ride. The episodes run about 20 minutes, and offer up a self-described, "fresh new blend of comedians in a small concentrated cup." Watch an episode and see what you think!

If you are looking for a great Good Morning yoga sequence then look no further. Upon waking up, repeat steps 1-8 twice to start your day off right.
