Washington D.C.

Just got back from visiting Ally in Washington D.C.! She is a 'lil freshie at George Washington University where she studies communications and plays Division 1 water polo. I literally could not be any prouder of this munchkin! Our dad is a GWU alumn, so the weekend was spent exploring his old campus haunts as well as getting to know Ally's latest discoveries. Below are some of our adventures.

M Street, Georgetown AKA GWU's go-to spot for shopping, dining, and bar hopping.

Mama Bear took this one when we were all reunited for the first time.

Taken out front of our hotel for mom and dad's anniversary dinner. I cannot stress enough how absolutely blessed I am to have two parents who, after 22 years of marriage, are still madly in love with each other.

Mom, Ally, and dad in front of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.

Ally and I in front of the Washington Memorial. In the background is the set-up for Congress' National Library Fair.

Dad's childhood home in Arlington, VA.

Dad's middle school.

A SnapChat Ally sent to all of her friends while we were visiting Manassas, the site of the first battle of the Civil War.

Mom took this as we were walking around Manassas. I'm not sure why, but I really like it; especially that it feels like we are causally walking away from an epic explosion in the background haha.

View of the Georgetown sunset skyline from our hotel.
